After separating from the NASA SLS super heavy-lift rocket and orbiting Earth twice, the Orion spacecraft will blast from Earth’s orbit to the Moon. The Artemis II Moon flyby mission will take about 4 days to reach the Moon, circle around the Moon’s far side, and then return to Earth. The full spaceflight mission will take about 10 days and cover about 500,000 miles. (Courtesy graphic by NASA)
