Gavin Duff and his tour as the 13th commanding officer of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75). Capt. Dave Snowden relieved Duff during Truman’s change of command ceremony in the hangar bay, Dec. 19, 2023. The 33 stars in the circular 13th Captain logo represent the ship's namesake, Harry S. Truman, as the 33rd President of the United States. The colors align with the Truman Media Department's branding guide, designed by Mass Communication Specialist 2nd Class Thomas Boatright, that guides the department's graphic design efforts.
