This graphic illustration features a vector of the Lopez Chow Hall on Marine Corps Base Quantico, in memory of U.S. Marine Corps 1st Lt. Baldomero Lopez, created May 5, 2026. The building, which opened in 2013, stands as a tribute to Lopez, who lost his life during the Korean War in 1950 by shielding his fellow Marines and absorbing the blast from an explosive ordnance.
