The U.S. Army's 7th Infantry Division (Multi-Domain Command-Pacific) is depicted in a motion graphic highlighting the division's historic transformation and operational role across the Indo-Pacific region. Originally activated in 1917, the Bayonet Division has served in major conflicts from World War I to Afghanistan and continues to sustain combat-ready forces in support of U.S. Army Pacific and joint force operations. The division recently merged with the 1st Multi-Domain Task Force at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington, creating a command structure uniquely designed to integrate multidomain capabilities across the theater. During Balikatan 2026, the division's capabilities—including unmanned surface vessels, watercraft sustainment operations and one-way attack drones—were integrated and rehearsed as part of the large-scale U.S.-Philippines bilateral and multinational exercise, demonstrating the command's ability to synchronize effects across land, air, maritime, space and cyberspace domains.
