    Depression Box

    Depression Box

This poster depicts one of the many feelings depression can have in a person's life. This glass box is a metaphorical description of depression and how someone can see and hear everything happening but cannot escape their feelings. The hands and person inside this glass box are the embodiment of trying to escape but not being able to because of how enclosed depression can make a person feel. The intention of this message is to raise awareness of how depression can feel for someone battling, and to seek help if an individual is feeling this way. The poster was displayed at NATO Allied Command Transformation in Norfolk, Virginia during Mental Health awareness month, May 2023. Allied Command Transformation is NATO’s warfare development command located in North America, dedicated to preserving the peace, security, and territorial integrity of Alliance member states by leading the warfare development of military structures, forces, capabilities and doctrines.
