At 8:14 a.m. on Sept. 11, 2001, American Airlines Flight 11 was hijacked.
Thirty-two minutes later, at 8:46 a.m., Flight 11 struck the North Tower of the World Trade Center.
That moment marked the beginning of a day that changed our nation forever.
Twenty-five years later, Fort Sill pauses to remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost, honor the first responders who ran toward danger, and recognize the service and sacrifice of those service members who answered the call in the years that followed.
We remember. We honor. We will never forget.
