U.S. Army Spc. Arron Higgins, a Las Vegas native and combat medic assigned to the 299th Brigade Support Battalion, 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, receives a COVID-19 vaccination at the Fair Park Community Vaccination Center in Dallas, Texas, April 15, 2021, and shares what lead to him volunteering to receive the vaccine. Higgins, along with other 1st Infantry Division Soldiers, deployed to Dallas February 2021, to assist the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in its national vaccination efforts.
