Burkina Faso declared its independence from French colonial rule on August 5th, 1960, and celebrates its independence on that day every year. Civil Affairs Team 142, D/Co, 91st CA BN provided medical equipment and training to Burkinabé military doctors in Bobo-Dioulasso. The training supported the medical examinations and treatments of more than 400 people with the US military assistance focused on building the capacity of Burkina Faso's security forces.
