This graphic was created for a Juneteenth event led by the Equal Opportunity team at the Defense Information School on June 19, 2023. Juneteenth is a federal holiday commemorating the proclamation of freedom for slaves in Texas. The design is a symbolic representation of the end of chattel slavery in the United States and a new beginning for all. This graphic was created using Adobe Illustrator.
