Meet your Defender, U.S. Army Sgt. Trevor Helmuth, a 2nd generation servicemember and medic assigned to the 1st Infantry Division Artillery. Inspired by the stories he heard of his grandfather, a medic serving in World War II, made him choose this career path. He’s served as an NCO in the army for four years, two as a Corporal and two as a Sergeant. He is in charge of ordering and maintaining medical supplies which assist in keeping Soldiers healthy and ready. “The expectation for a Sergeant is higher than that of a Specialist, you’re expected to rise up to the challenge.” Currently enrolled in college with the goal of becoming a Nurse Anesthetist and further his career by becoming an Officer to continue shaping the Army into a better organization.
