Patient safety is fundamental to improving health and building readiness. The 2026 theme DHA is using: “Teaming Up for Patient Safety.” While every day is patient safety day, Patient Safety Awareness Week is March 8-14, 2026. It seeks to encourage local communications at Defense Health Networks, medical treatment facilities, and installations to actively participate in and recognize Patient Safety Awareness Week.
