This flyer "Letterkenny Munitions Center Modernization Project Information Sheet - Joint Missile Maintenance Facility" was created to inform media, congress, military leaders and the general public of the Joint Missile Maintenance Facility that was constructed at Letterkenny Munitions Center. The construction of the Joint Missile Maintenance Facility was funded as a part of the Army’s Organic Industrial Base Modernization Plan that focuses on prioritizing and synchronizing resources to focus on critical facilities and capabilities which are necessary to sustain and build upon resource capacity for the Army’s current and developing systems to enable surge capacity. The Joint Missile Maintenance Facility facility will provide an adaptive and modernized space to support the newest variants of HARM, AMRAAM, Sidewinder, and other Air Force, Navy and Army weapon systems to include extended range (ER) variants, which are typically larger in size. The design and concept of this facility is to increase flexibility, capacity, and most importantly, surge capability.
