The design incorporates a knight's helm and shield inspired by the 19th Airlift Wing's Black Knights heritage, symbolizing protection, readiness and service, while the motto, "People First. Mission Ready.", reflects the Military Personnel Flight's commitment to caring for Airmen in support of mission success.
