This graphic was created using Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop to inform Marines on an active cyber threat, Fort George G. Meade, Maryland, May 29, 2026. Russian military intelligence-linked cyber actors are exploiting vulnerable home routers to gain unauthorized access to internet traffic and connected devices. Once compromised, the networks can be used to collect sensitive information, conceal malicious activity and target military, government and civilian users. The National Security Agency recommends updating router firmware, changing default passwords, disabling remote management features and replacing outdated or unsupported devices to reduce the risk of compromise.
