April is Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month (SAAPM). This year’s Department of Defense theme is “STEP FORWARD. Prevent. Report. Advocate.” This is a call to action for every member of our community to use their strength to advance meaningful change in preventing and responding to sexual violence.
At Norfolk Naval Shipyard, we are committed to fostering a culture of dignity, respect, and trust. Eliminating sexual assault from our ranks is an all-hands effort. It requires each of us to be active bystanders, to know our part, and to do our part to protect our shipmates.
