Summer means more time outdoors—but it also means increased exposure to harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays.
Protecting your skin doesn’t just help prevent sunburn. It can also reduce your risk of skin cancer, premature aging, and eye damage.
When spending time outside:
-Apply broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) and reapply every two hours.
-Wear sunglasses that block 100% of UVA and UVB rays.
-Cover up with a wide-brimmed hat and lightweight, long-sleeved clothing when possible.
-Seek shade, especially between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., when the sun’s rays are strongest.
-Stay hydrated and don’t let cloudy skies fool you—UV rays can penetrate clouds.
Protect your skin today so it can protect you for years to come.
