Ever wondered about the importance of floodplains, those vast, flat lands beside rivers? They transform dramatically when rivers overflow and are essential parts of our ecosystem and daily lives. The infographic was produced using Blender, Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft PowerPoint, and distributed in both print and digital versions. It was part of a joint-agency public outreach campaign between the U.S. Army Corps Engineers Flood Risk Management Program, Silver Jackets, and City of Logan, Utah, to increase public awareness of regional flood risk, the value of floodplain management and alternative approaches to reducing risk for communities while preserving the natural environment.
