This series of historical collage-style graphics was created in Canva to depict and share our shipyard and workforce's impact made throughout history, May 27, 2025.
During WWII, Station HYPO, the code breaking office in Hawaii, was a secretive unit of U.S. Navy cryptologists, linguists, and intelligence officers who worked together intercepting messages and decrypting tucked away in a basement at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, on Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam. Illustrating naval history in connection to Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard supports the DoW mission of preserving naval heritage and fostering pride in our service's history and communicates authentically to our audience why the mission is important to serving the nation.
PHNSY & IMF’s mission is to keep the Navy’s fleet “Fit to Fight” by repairing, maintaining, and modernizing the Navy's fast-attack submarines and surface ships. Strategically located in the heart of the Pacific, it is the most comprehensive fleet repair and maintenance facility between the U.S. West Coast and the Far East. (U.S. Navy graphic by Camey Streff)
