John Carter, a Tennessee native and communication and strategy operations officer with 1st Marine Logistics Group, on Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, April 14, 2025. Carter represented the Camp Pendleton, All-Marine, and All-Armed Services basketball teams, averaging 24 points per game. As the sole Marine on the All-Armed Services team, he helped lead them to a gold medal at the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe International Basketball Tournament, scoring a game-high 32 points in the championship win over France.
