This graphic was created for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District’s Real Estate Division. The Omaha District is supporting the U.S. Air Force’s effort to replace the LGM-30G Minutemen II intercontinental ballistic Missile with a new fleet of LGM-35A Sentinel ICMBs. The real estate division acquires land interests to secure the construction process for the new ICBM campuses located in western Nebraska, eastern Wyoming and northeastern Colorado. The graphic depicts a rural, western landscape dotted with launch facilities, wing command center, and a launch center interconnected by abstracted, orange communication lines. Land acquisition is the first step of the construction process, so facilities were reimagined from contractor YouTube videos and websites. The facilities were made into 3d models in Adobe Illustrator before being transferred to Adobe Photoshop for coloring and brush texture work. The poster is used for social media, a feature article, and internal command emailer, and posters withing the division for morale.
