NAVAL BASE SAN DIEGO (March 5, 2026) — Established March 5, 1942, U.S. Navy Seabees celebrate 84 years representing the world's only Expeditionary Fighting Construction Force. Seabees provide high-quality construction, expeditionary logistics, and combat operations to support U.S. and partner nations and deter aggression. Established in 1922, Naval Base San Diego is the largest West coast naval installation and principal homeport of the Pacific Fleet, supporting more than 60 combatant and auxiliary surface ships and more than 250 shore commands.
