As Purple Heart Day approaches, we honor Pfc. Cicely C. Holmes a Combat Medic assigned to the 59th Engineer Company, 20th Engineer Battalion, 36th Engineer Brigade in Afghanistan, July 2011. Her vehicle encountered an IED during a route clearance mission.
