August is Weight Handling Safety Awareness Month. The Navy’s weight handling program plays a critical role in supporting the warfighting mission, performing high-risk tasks safely and efficiently. This vertical orientation graphic created with Adobe Illustrator is third in a series of three weekly graphics by Naval Safety Command for Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC). The intent of the graphics is to spread awareness of weight handling safety during the month of August. This graphic focuses on the theme of lower threshold crane accidents and their importance in weight handling safety.
