The Navy’s Curator of Models program manages more than 3,800 models for display in federal spaces and museums across the United States. This postcard was created to be distributed by the Curator of Models staff at events at the Pentagon and other federal spaces, in order to spread information about the program and also let interested parties know who to contact to borrow a model for their public spaces and museums. The USS Arleigh Burke (DDG-51) is featured on the front, as that is a model that is currently available for request.
