Promotional technology poster at AIRMAN Magazine for the 70th birthday of the US Air Force. Features 3d model of the Bell X-1(laser scanned by Smithsonian and retopologized and shaded in Pixologic ZBrush and Autodesk Maya). Environmental effects as well as full scene rendered in MentalRay for Maya, then composited in Adobe Photoshop. This was used across the USAF and remains available for download to the public at www.af.mil/70.
