Spatial Frequency Domain Imaging (SFDI) enables rapid, point-of-care assessment of burn depth and Total Body Surface Area to guide triage care in theater. A lightweight, handheld SFDI device captures data for quantitative burn assessment, enhancing warfighter care and expediting return to duty. The Defense Health Agency’s Operational Medical Systems Program Management Office is the DoD’s leading force in medical development and acquisition, focused on enhancing Warfighter lethality and readiness.
