This digital art graphic was designed to commemorate the 77th anniversary of the D-Day invasion, in which the 55th wing - then the 55th Fighter Group - participated in the historic, military campaign. The social media graphic was used to localize our specific contributions to that campaign while honoring the D-Day anniversary for both internal and external publics. The graphic depicts the 55th Fighter Group's P-38 Lightning aircraft - with black and white 'invasion stripes' painted on the wings and tails - flying over Omaha Beach as part of Operation Overlord. The graphic was posted to the Offutt AFB Facebook page garnering over six times the reactions than the average post and reaching a total of 8,500 people. (U.S. Air Force graphic by Josh Plueger)
