This graphic was created in observance of National Airborne Day for posting on Fort Polk social media. Fort Polk has supported operational airborne rotations since September 1993—a period of over 32 years as of August 2025.

National Airborne Day is observed annually Aug. 16th. It honors the creation of the U.S. Army's airborne forces and recognizes the courage, skill, and sacrifice of paratroopers—past and present.
