This unit identifying symbol was created, using Adobe Illustrator, to represent Littoral Combat Force-24. The design features a shield face in front of a trident, sword, and arrow. Additionally, the continent of South America represents the military presence in U.S. Southern Command area of responsibility. The Compass represents our naval tradition and freedom of navigation. U.S. military forces are deployed to the U.S. SOUTHCOM AOR in support of Operation SOUTHERN SPEAR, Department of War-directed operations, and the president’s priorities to disrupt illicit drug trafficking, deter malign actors and protect the homeland through continuous presence.
