Army Educational Outreach Program interns and Arizona State University students Trae Nelson and Kaia Thompson co-authored a peer-reviewed scientific article, and Nelson was named inventor on a newly filed U.S. patent for their work in advanced ceramic matrix composites. The research, which was funded by the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command's Army Research Office, highlights innovations in materials critical to Army and aerospace applications and was recently published in Ceramics International.
