    SATTAHIP, Thailand (Jan. 12, 2017) Petty Officer 1st Class John Monahan, assigned to Underwater Construction Tem (UCT) 2, directs a crane operator placing an inflatable small boat. UCT 2’s Construction Diving Detachment Charlie (CDDC), in partnership with the Royal Thai Navy, is performing critical underwater repairs to a pier in order to extend the infrastructure’s lifespan. CDDC is on the first stop of their deployment, where they are conducting inspection, maintenance, and repair of various underwater and waterfront facilities in support of the Pacific Fleet.
