Staff Sgt. Brian J. Yoder, representing U.S. Army Pacific, hurries to his next battle drill station to fire at targets in a battle drill as part of the weapons qualification test Oct. 4, at Fort Lee, Va. Yoder and 11 other non-commissioned officers are competing for the title of Department of the Army Best Warrior. The 12 NCOs and an additional 12 Soldiers will spend this week at Fort Lee competing in events such as the board, land navigation and warrior tasks. The winners will be announced at a ceremony, Oct. 8, in the District of Columbia. Yoder is currently assigned as an intelligence analyst in the 94th Army Air Missile Defense Command located at Fort Shafter, Hawaii. Yoder, who hails from Newport, Pa., has served in the Army for four years.
