Sgt. Nicholas Johnson, representing U.S. Army Korea, hurries to his next battle drill station to fire at targets in a battle drill as part of the weapons qualification test Oct. 4, at Fort Lee, Va. Johnson and 11 other Soldiers are competing for the title of Department of the Army Best Warrior. The 12 Soldiers and an additional 12 non-commissioned officers will spend this week at Fort Lee competing in events such as the board, land navigation and warrior tasks. The winners will be announced at a ceremony, Oct. 8, in the District of Columbia. Johnson is currently assigned as a PATRIOT enchanced operator and maintainer in the 1st Air Defense Artillery Battalion located at Camp Carroll, Korea. He hails from Cleveland, Ohio. Johnson has served in the Army for three years.
