Spc. Brian J. Hancock, representing U.S. Army Reserve Command, hurries to his next battle drill station to fire at targets in a battle drill as part of the weapons qualification test Oct. 4, at Fort Lee, Va. Hancock and 11 other Soldiers are competing for the title of Department of the Army Best Warrior. The 12 Soldiers and an additional 12 non-commissioned officers will spend this week at Fort Lee competing in events such as the board, land navigation and warrior tasks. The winners will be announced at a ceremony, Oct. 8, in the District of Columbia. Hancock is currently assigned as a psychological operations specialist in the 304th Psychological Operations Company located at Sacramento, Calif. He hails from Davis, Calif. Hancock has served in the Army for two years.
