Staff Sgt. Jorge Toro, representing Army Materiel Command, hurries to his next battle drill station to fire at targets in a battle drill as part of the weapons qualification test Oct. 4, at Fort Lee, Va. Toro and 11 other non-commissioned officers are competing for the title of Department of the Army Best Warrior. The 12 NCOs and an additional 12 Soldiers will spend this week at Fort Lee competing in events such as the board, land navigation and warrior tasks. The winners will be announced at a ceremony, Oct. 8, in the District of Columbia. Toro is currently assigned as a multiple launch rocket system chief in the 35th Air Defense Artillery Brigade located at Camp Carroll, Korea. Toro, who hails from Cleveland, has served in the Army for three years.
