Spc. Hubbard H. Harvey III, representing U.S. Army Training and Doctorine Command, puts together an M249 Squad Automatic Weapon as part of the common tasks test Oct. 4, at Fort Lee, Va. Harvey and 11 other Soldiers are competing for the title of Department of the Army Best Warrior. The 12 Soldiers and an additional 12 non-commissioned officers will spend this week at Fort Lee competing in events such as the board, weapons, land navigation and warrior tasks. The winners will be announced at a ceremony, Oct. 8, in the District of Columbia. Harvey is currently assigned as an armor crewman in the 16th Cavalry Regiment located at Combined Arms Center in Fort Knox, Ky. Harvey, who hails from Taylor, Fla., has served in the Army for two years.
