Staff Sgt. David G. Corona, representing U.S. Army Forces Command, hurries to his next battle drill station to fire at targets in a battle drill as part of the weapons qualification test Oct. 4, at Fort Lee, Va. Corona and 11 other non-commissioned officers are competing for the title of Department of the Army Best Warrior. The 12 NCOs and an additional 12 Soldiers will spend this week at Fort Lee competing in events such as the board, land navigation and warrior tasks. The winners will be announced at a ceremony, Oct. 8, in the District of Columbia. Corona is currently assigned as an infantryman in the 3rd Battalion, 67th Armor Regiment, 4th Infantry Division located at Fort Hood, Texas. He hails from Waugekan, Ill. Corona has served in the Army for four years.
