Cpl. Mihai Mocanu, representing U.S. Army Europe, writes down his prisoner's identification information to report to higher headquarters, the commont task tests Oct. 4, at Fort Lee, Va. Mocanu and 11 other Soldiers are competing for the title of Department of the Army Best Warrior. The 12 Soldiers and an additional 12 non-commissioned officers will spend this week at Fort Lee competing in events such as the board, weapons, land navigation and warrior tasks. The winners will be announced at a ceremony, Oct. 8, in the District of Columbia. Mocanu, who hails from Hirlau, Romania, is currently assigned as an infantryman in the 1st Armored Division located at Baumholder, Germany.
