    An Iraqi army aviation Mi-28N Havoc flies over a 9th Iraqi Army Division command post after supporting the clearing of Bakhaira village and surrounding areas on the first day of the battle to liberate West Mosul, Feb. 19, 2017. 9th IAD is partnered with advise and assist teams 2nd Battalion, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division. 2nd BCT, 82nd Abn. Div. is deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, to enable their Iraqi security force partners through the advise and assist mission, contributing planning, intelligence collection and analysis, force protection, and precision fires to achieve the military defeat of ISIS.
