A U.S. Air National Guard Civil Engineer monitors an approaching vehicle at a controlled checkpoint during Patriot Forge IIat Ft. Devens Army Reserve Training Area, Massachusetts, Aug. 13, 2026. The exercise allowed Civil Engineers to train critical defensive skills, vital when supporting the defense of an installation. The Prime Base Engineer Emergency Force training served to enable the projection and recovery of airpower beyond the Main Operating Base by providing combat support, base-level utility maintenance, and emergency response capabilities.
