A U.S. Air National Guard tactical vehicle is viewed from another vehicle during convoy training at Patriot Forge II at Ft. Devens Army Reserve Training Area, Massachusetts, Aug. 11, 2026. During the exercise, Airmen demonstrated proficiency in basic expeditionary skills, ground combat skills, combat vehicle operations, land navigation, and integrated base defense. Prime Base Engineer Emergency Force units are specialized to enable the projection and recovery of airpower beyond the Main Operating Base by providing combat support, base-level utility maintenance, and emergency response capabilities.
