U.S. Air National Guard leaders observe Civil Engineers as they conduct expeditionary training during Patriot Forge II at Ft. Devens Army Reserve Training Area, Massachusetts, Aug. 13, 2026. Patriot Forge II was designed to develop a multi-unit engineer force capable of performing core expeditionary engineering and combat support tasks. During the exercise, ANG civil engineers practiced tangible, cross-functional combat skills with a focus on tactical combat casualty care, convoy operations, base defense, and dismounted patrol tasks to make them more lethal and survivable.
