Staff Sgt. Neil Wegley, 155th Explosive Ordnance Disposal team lead, conducts measurements on a simulated unexploded ordnance during an exercise, Feb. 7, 2026, at the Nebraska National Guard air base in Lincoln, Nebraska. Detailed assessments allow EOD technicians to identify hazards and determine the safest method to neutralize the threat while protecting personnel and infrastructure. This simulation was a part of a four-day Combat Readiness Inspection testing the deployment readiness and the supporting infrastructure required to execute wartime operations.
