Airmen with the 155th Explosive Ordnance Disposal, deploy a robot to scan a suspicious package, Feb. 5, 2026, at the Nebraska National Guard air base in Lincoln, Nebraska. Using thermal imaging equipment, EOD Airmen scanned a simulated suspicious backpack to detect heat signatures that may have indicated explosive components or power sources. This simulation was a part of a four-day Combat Readiness Inspection evaluating the wing’s ability to generate aircraft, personnel and equipment, and deploy and sustain operations under wartime conditions.
