Tech. Sgt. Terron Mclean, a pavements and construction specialist, 155th Civil Engineer Squadron, holds a damaged tire punctured by a screw, Feb. 5, 2026, at the Nebraska National Guard air base in Lincoln, Nebraska. Trained maintainers like Mclean are essential to the mission to quickly resolve small defects that could otherwise ground equipment and delay operations. This flat tire simulation was a part of a four-day Combat Readiness Inspection evaluating the wing’s ability to generate aircraft, personnel and equipment, and deploy and sustain operations under wartime conditions.
