Staff Sgt. Kellen Jungman, an electrical power production specialist, 155th Civil Engineer Squadron, adjusts a ground connection for the generator, Feb. 5, 2026, at the Nebraska National Guard air base in Lincoln, Nebraska. Generators were used to provide Airmen with electrical power in degraded conditions while working in simulated austere environments during the recent Combat Readiness Inspection. The exercise challenged Airmen to execute deployment tasks efficiently and effectively, replicating the pressures of real-world operations and reinforcing rapid-mobilization capability.
