260127-A-UA435-1001 NAVAL SUPPORT ACTIVITY BAHRAIN (Jan. 27, 2026) Naval Security Forces Bahrain, Fire and Emergency Department, and local Bahrain first responders conducted a mass casualty drill onboard Naval Support Activity Bahrain. NSA Bahrain enables the forward operations and responsiveness of U.S. and allied forces in support of the Commander, Navy Region Europe, Africa, Central mission to provide services to the fleet, warfighter and family. On March 12, USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78) experienced a fire that originated in the ship’s main laundry spaces. The cause of the fire was not combat-related and is contained.
There is no damage to the ship’s propulsion plant, and the aircraft carrier remains fully operational.
