JOINT BASE ELMENDORF-RICHARDSON, Alaska – Alaskan Command successfully conducted a joint maritime operation, Oct. 16, with the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Kimball (WMSL 756) and two U.S. Air Force B-1 bombers in the Bering Sea along the Aleutian Island Chain. This operation demonstrated the capability of U.S. Northern Command (USNORTHCOM) and its mission partners to deter maritime threats to the homeland.
U.S. and Canadian senior enlisted leaders from North American Aerospace Defense Command and U.S. Northern Command gathered at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, May 12-13 to discuss and synchronize SEL functions during contingency and crisis operations. The Alaskan SEL Summit aligned enlisted leaders on readiness, operations and warfighting challenges in the Alaska Theater of Operations.
