170922-N-JW440-0646 DOMINICA (Sept. 22, 2017) An MH-60S Sea Hawk Helicopter from Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 22 (HSC-22) assigned to the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1) flies over the island Dominica during U.S. citizen evacuation efforts in the wake of Hurricane Maria. The Department of Defense is supporting Federal Emergency Management Agency, the lead federal agency, in helping those affected by Hurricane Maria to minimize suffering and is one component of the overall whole-of-government response effort.
