PACIFIC OCEAN (Mar. 15, 2017) Sailors assigned to the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68) render honors while committing cremains during a burial at sea. Nimitz commited 16 Sailors, one soldier and one civilian during the first burial at sea ceremony held on board in more than 2 years. Nimitz is currently underway to conduct Composite Training Unit Exercise (COMPTUEX) in preparation for an upcoming 2017 deployment.
